Following the launch of the Adopt a Pupil Campaign, Fundisa Children’s Foundation held a luncheon at Kingdom of the Son Learning Center in Domboshava and the team is more than grateful to all who set aside their busy schedules and devoted their time in planning and executing the event. The Fundisa team visited the foundation on the 21st of April 2019.

Chief among the objectives of the day was pursuing a meet and greet agenda between the Fundisa Sponsors and the children they are sponsoring. Additionally, the team also donated stationery for the children and groceries. A spectacular procession welcomed the entourage producing a performance that would turn any marching band green with envy. This was immediately followed by introductions between the team, sponsors and the children. 

The event also fell upon the Easter Holidays and the presence of the sponsors and the team put smiles on the children’s faces. An identity talk with the children was on the menu which saw the children profess their dreams in future occupations and ambitions, they truly possess amazing aspirations and their goals go beyond the situations they are in. Children from Kingdom of the Son acted out a drama that reflected their gratitude to Fundisa Children’s Foundation.

There was a lot of interaction between sponsors and children as one of the sponsors’ children actually joined the rest of the children in the activities that were undertaken, to which the organisers gathered at least one of their objectives had certainly been met. The event concluded with a prayer and the team was grateful of how the event went.
